JEN'S DAYCARE
A few words about my program
My daycare is a licensed, small family childcare (up to 6 kids) in sunny Visitacion Valley in San Francisco. My goal is to provide a safe and family-like environment where children from ages 1 to 3 years can play, learn and have some of their first experiences playing with others. I aim to make kids feel happy, comfortable and cared for. In addition to fostering social and motor skills, I incorporate developmentally appropriate academic learning into daily play activities.
ABOUT ME
I have been caring for and teaching young children in different capacities for over 16 years.
I live with my wife and our two kids: 9 year old Milan and 6 year old Marlow. I truly enjoy taking care of and teaching kids, which led me to become an elementary school teacher in San Francisco public schools and to open my own day care.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, climbing, reading, going to museums, playing the guitar and singing. I am a native English speaker and also speak French.
SCHEDULES and TUITION
SCHEDULE
Every day from 9am to 5pm.
9am: Drop off and greetings
9:10am: Activity time in playroom
10am: Hand washing and bathroom/diapering
10:15am: Snack time
10:30am: Arts and crafts
11:00am: Outdoor play (Weather permitting)
11:45am: Hand washing and bathroom/diapering
12:00pm: A healthy lunch is provided
12:45pm: Bathroom/Diaper changing
1pm: Transition time (story, soft music, relaxation)
1:15pm: Nap time / Quiet time
3pm: Hand washing and bathroom/diapering
3:15pm: Snack time
3:30pm: Directed group activity (music, yoga, dance, story...)
3:45pm: Outdoor play (Weather permitting)
4:45pm: Free play and getting ready for pick up

Our schedule is routine but also flexible and responsive to children's individual needs. I accommodate different napping schedules and ensure that children are well-rested and engaged throughout the day.
TUITION
Tuition is charged monthly and includes healthy, mostly-organic snacks and lunches for children who are ready to eat table food.
5 days per week - $2000
4 days per week - $1650
3 days per week - $1300
2 days per week - $925
1 day per week - $500
Drop-in care, when available, is $17 per hour.

An annual registration and materials fee of $100
is due at enrollment and is non-refundable.

LOCATION - San Francisco Daycare
We are located in Visitacion Valley, one of the sunniest neighborhoods in San Francisco, near the the south eastern border of beautiful McLaren Park. Our location offers easy access to both the 101 and 280 freeways. It is just a short drive from many neighborhoods, including Bernal Heights, Excelsior, Crocker Amazon, Glen Park, Portola and Silver Terrace.
